Colorado Classical Music Buffs Call the Shots this Labor Day Weekend

“YouTune” Colorado Public Radio's Classical Music lineup starting Sept. 4!


CENTENNIAL, Colo.
(Aug. 24, 2009) -- Colorado Public Radio Classical Music will hand its classical music reins over to listeners this Labor Day weekend during the annual Listener's Choice Labor Day Weekend program, beginning Sept. 4 at 3 p.m.

Listeners can decide exactly what gets played during the three-day event by requesting their classical tunes of choice at www.kvod.org. Music lovers can submit their requests via the “Get your requests in now” link on www.kvod.org, and start listening for their songs at 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4.

"Colorado Public Radio listeners have already submitted hundreds of favorites they would like to hear over the holiday weekend,” said program director Karla Walker. “Everything from warhorses like Beethoven's 9th Symphony, to evocative French Impressionist music, to a wide range of 20th century classics. We'll do our best to get them all on the air.”

Colorado Public Radio Classical Music is heard on: 88.1 FM in Denver, 91.9 FM in Pueblo, 94.7 FM in Colorado Springs, 89.9 FM in Vail, 90.5 FM in Glenwood Springs, 103.3 FM along the Western Slope, and online at cpr.org.
