Localpalooza Aug 29th - Need more Bands - esp. Indie and Rock - Please read below...

AUG 29TH 2009
First of all let's talk about where this thing originated. Localpalooza has been around since 2001 though mostly in the hard rock or metal scene. This is the 6th incarnation of the event, having moved from the Blue Bird, Gothic and Ogden to our latest location in Civic Center Park for the festival in 2009. The event is focused on supporting the community as a whole by promoting the talent we have in our local music scene while encouraging people to shop locally. In conjunction with promoting a healthy economy we have partnered this year with "Soar with the Angels," a local chapter of the Leukemia Lymphoma Society to raise money for their research programs and they are lending marketing support for the event. But as we all know budgets are tight at the moment and this is an event depends on all of you.

The cost of renting space like this in Denver is pricey and we are still a local promoter guys. Each application goes to pay for the facility rental, sound and light, NOT into our pockets. This event hinges on community support and it is a free show in the heart of Denver. Bands will be selected by Panel with Whisper Fiercely, Colorado Music Buzz, Fury Artist Management and other industry professionals! Bands who care about making a difference and making sure that Denver understands the power of local music are encouraged to apply! We have vendor spaces available to those who are interested in setting up a booth at the show! Whisper Fiercely has great specials on screen printing during the month of August for bands that need to create a merch line as well. Feel free to check out some of the other bands we do merch for and ask them their opinion of working with us. All applicants will be listed as supports in the September issue of the Colorado Music Buzz Magazine and have VIP access the day of the event. Thank you so much for your support!

email Whisperfiercely@gmail.com for more info and to participate.
