Free CSO Concert -- Thursday, July 23
Denver's Cheesman Park will be the site of a FREE concert by the Colorado Symphony Orchestra (CSO), beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23. The ensemble will be led by associate conductor Scott O'Neil in a program heavily invested in Eastern European music. The CSO will perform the Overture to Russlan and Ludmilla by GLINKA, Slavonic Dances by DVOŘÁK, and Symphony No. 4 by TCHAIKOVSKY.
The band shell is situated on the north side of the inner circle, close to the 12th Avenue entrance to the park. Given the popularity of free CSO concerts around town, showing up early to secure a choice position is always a good idea. Use of public transportation is highly encouraged as is arrival by bicycle or on foot, given the parking challenges in the vicinity.
The CSO will also present a free concert at Sweetwater Park in Lone Tree. Titled "An American Salute," that performance will take place on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
