Steel Panther at the Ogden

The 80's metal comedy awesome that is Steel Panther played the Ogden on Friday. The hair was flying and the Spandex was...dexing I guess. There was easily a full thousand in attendance who shared in the laughs and the amusing anthems of the Panther. The Ninja Priestess herself, Aeon Cruz, was there to snag a whole bunch of imagey goodness.

Ploy For Extinction at the Gothic Theater

On November 12th, 2010 there was a monster metal fest at the Gothic Theater. CMB's newest ninja of the lens arts, Jon Abbott, captured Ploy For Extinction's crushing metal set for the Denver crowd.

Wake The Dead Rock and Metal Festival returns for it's third year 10/09/2010. The festival features 13 bands on two stages. These bands are up and coming bands from Kansas and the Midwest, many of which are touring or have performed on large stages supporting major national Artists.

Wake The Dead Fest III is presented by The W, Downtown Hutchinson. The event will split the music up between "The W" main stage and the "Mega Metal Magazine" 2nd stage. This years headliner is Vintage Burning a Dirtbag records artist which will finish the night on "The W" stage. The band is touring supporting the release of their new CD Disturbing the Balance.

The other bands in the lineup include; Beneath The Burning Sun, Ashamed, John Woodson's leg, Left On Northwood, True Illusion, The Breakpoint Method, Perpetual Fist, Kingshifter, Librium, Lost Within Days, The Samuel Band and Swept Aside.
These bands are all different in style, genre and stage presentation, which makes for a complete day of awesome entertainment!

The festival has teamed with "Rockin On" for Juvenile Diabetes Association, a ADA fundraising group that supports Bret Micheals effort to build a childrens JDA camp in Oklahoma. $2 dollars of every $10 online ticket sold will be donated to "Rockin' On".Tickets and merchandise are now available at www.wakethedeadfest.com.

Arcanium interview

Yep ... yer seein' it right ... KAZY .. the legendary call letters from Denver's past. It's now a Cheyenne Wyoming frequency. There's not much on the website but a player and link to a standalone player --- and of course, curiosity got the better of me ... what does it sound like?
